Grieving With

There is power

in grieving with

a friend whose dad died suddenly

to sit with her

sifting through his decades of papers

he bought new glasses just 2 weeks before

his undershirts still have his scent

Life is a vapor

Grieve With

There is power

in grieving with

the mom whose young child

was accidentally run over by a truck

a block from our home

it is so easy to judge

why did she not run after her kid

why didn’t he see the child in the crosswalk

but it could have been me

I could have been that driver

I could have been that mother

stop the questions and the judging

Grieve With

There is power

in grieving with

the chinese factory worker

who developed leukemia from benzene used

in our iPhones

Why is this world so unjust

Yet we are to blame

We are driving that market

of slavery …still…

Grieve With

And of course -

there is our own fear

that -

“IT” [the suffering] could happen to ME.

But you see

All the ME questions

prevent us from

grieving with

standing with

our brother

our sister

our neighbor

The Suffering is a Mystery

The world is BROKEN

But

NONE OF THIS MATTERS

For the Kingdom of God is breaking in

with Heaven’s Kiss

Emmanuel

God With Us

Yes

Thank You

GOD

GRIEVES WITH

US.

Did you know

HE

GRIEVES WITH

YOU?

God You Promised

This world

is not

our home

So we Grieve With

This world

Until The King

Returns
